Spring 2011 Fashion Week

Buyers and Fashionistas flocked to the Spring 2011 runway shows in New York, Milan, Paris and London. Established as well as new designers were featured at the always glamorous events. White seems to be the hot color this year, with styles ranging from modern to elegant. In Paris, many of the designs were soft, casual and loose fitting with sprinkles of the always chic black for dress.

In New York, the colors were bold combined with large prints and bright solids. There was a definite seventies influence with a hint of the Mod style. In Milan, Giorgio Armani presented his entire collection in a deep indigo blue, modern yet extremely elegant with sheer fabrics and long silhouettes. Several new designers like Marni and Etro carried through with the 70's theme but longtime veterans, Dolce and Gabanna presented an exquisite collection of whites that crossed the line between couture and lingerie.

The hip London scene came out in style with a downtown trench feel prevalent on the runway. Always adventurous, their flair is all their own.
